Online divorce

We are delighted to have been invited to take part in the pilot/testing phase of the new online divorce system for England and Wales. We are one of 6 solicitors across England and Wales that have been invited to take part in the testing and development of the new, online divorce court.

What does this mean for our clients? It means that we can send divorce petitions to the court electronically, which is faster than the traditional paper based system from all reports so far, and then to progress through to conclusion using the online system.

When it is taking around 51 weeks for a divorce to be finalised, we think that the electronic system could make divorce proceedings a lot quicker and easier for those couples who want to be divorced, allowing them to move forward to the next stage of their lives.

If you want to begin divorce proceedings and would like to take advantage of the technological reforms to make it quicker, contact us. We can help.
